That would be your loss then, there is nothing that comes close to emby, most likely if the laptop is wired and all other traffic works (incoming and outgoing) on the laptop, if emby works locally on the laptop you can only conclude the problem is either a firewall restriction on either the server or client.

I know previously Norton, avg etc have thought emby was an issue (false flagging them) and breaking emby installs, but this would mean emby would also fail locally on the server.

Disable the firewall on the client and server and see what happens.

Double check the port and ip the client is using, try another device, phone, tablet, etc, something that has a web browser, can this connect to the server, ie is you problem just one client and not the server at fault.

If your using a laptop as the server I would consider either servicing the laptop at regular intervals (1-2 months) or think about investigating in a desktop box you can hide somewhere. Laptops are not really designed to sit at 100% cpu all day. It will work but I can tell you from rebuilding enough laptops that its not really the best tool for the job when your asking for high demand jobs.

Thank You!! :)
