twillist 5 Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 I would like to use the app as my main streaming source but it's just not practical without the app caching playing songs and leaving them that way for later playback offline the way Google Play Music or Muzecast does. Thanks in advance 3
Luke 42078 Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 It's a good idea. We'll look at it for a future release/
ytzelf 2 Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Hello Luke, Has this been implemented? Would be neat as I could move away from Subsonic (out of home streaming) and minidlna (local streaming) and centralize everthing in Emby. Thank you!
ytzelf 2 Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 Any chance of seeing this implemented? Tks Luke
Luke 42078 Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 It remains something I would like to do, yes.
bigeyez 10 Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 You can use Yatse meanwhile, it can download songs form Emby.
BloodyIron 24 Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Hmm, tried Yatse, couldn't get my "Kodi version", so... didn't work for me :S
Veggerby 0 Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 Would be nice if Emby could pre-download 3-5 songs when there's a connection for it, so when the network coverage gets spotty it doesn't pause or stop totally like it does now.Along the route where I work the network coverage gets very poor from time to time, but even if there was a pre-download of one song ahead then it wouldn't be noticeable. As it is now - I've seen it give up playing completely twice today. And instead of thinking about if the coverage might be spotty then it does like the SoundCloud app and just marks songs unplayable and skips them :/ The current buffer of around 5 seconds is just not big enough.
