wjbeckett 1 Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Hi guys, I apologize first of all if this is posted in the wrong section. I wanted to know if there is any support for localization when it comes to upcoming shows? I'm in Australia so show's are displaying incorrectly in the upcoming tab as they are referencing the USA dates. This makes the upcoming tab pretty useless as some shows aren't shown. Any way of changing this at all?
Luke 42081 Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Welcome. Where would the information come from? We are currently using tvdb.
wjbeckett 1 Posted July 22, 2015 Author Posted July 22, 2015 (edited) Thanks for the welcome Luke!Could there be a setting on the server side to change timezone (or auto detect it) and then that adjusts the offset + or - GMT for their timezone? For example, Brisbane, Australia is +10 GMT. So the offset could be triggered by selecting that timezone from a drop down and then the show information is manipulated from that? You could use the trakt.tv api to get the country in which the show airs, then use tvdb to get the time and date. Then you could use a pre defined list of common timezones plus the local time and date from the Emby server to do the manual offsetting from the original show timezone + the air date/time.It wouldn't be 100% accurate because of multiple time zones in certain countries but it would be pretty close. Was just a thought.
