ravens 0 Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Hi, Does anyone have the latest centos or fedora package of emby ? would love to install it. I cannot find it it at all, all i found is outdated old stuff. Or can anyone tell me how to compile it as this one is a little peculiar ? (i have latest mono and can fetch any lib needed) (would very much appreciate the compile steps to have a fresh build, i dont mind doing the hard work) Thank you
fc7 123 Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 (edited) For what it worth I'm running the latest version of Emby (5675.1) from my own built rpm on CentOS 7. I just grabbed the latest source rpm available from the official Emby repo and used the spec file to build my own package. I don't mind sharing it but it's not an official package at all. Can you actually please send me the spec and I will try and use it as a base and combine with it Jose's work. I promise that if fc7 doesn't join the I will get a new package going soon.

How can I join the packaging team? Send me a private message and we can take it from there. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Thanks, Is not only the spec file that you need but also the other parts of the package (including Emby itself). The best and easiest way to get everything is to download the source rpm from the repo and install it. Then you will have the spec and the rest of the components needed to build the new package. This is how I did it. You can access the repo with any web browser and get the srpm from there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited July 24, 2015 by fc7
