Filmography not working

Hello.

 

I've noticed since my roku updated Emby from 1.96 to 2.09, selecting "Filmography" from an actors page does not show the films they are in (that are on the server).  An example of this is that when I go into Anger Management, Cast and Crew, Jack Nicholson, Filmography ... the only movie that shows up is The Departed (which means it isn't seeing Anger Management, Batman, The Shining, etc).  It is the same with all other actors I checked ... some of them even say no results (which is impossible since it should at least show the movie selected at the very least).

 

I'm unsure what has changed.  All other information is displaying correctly and updates as required.  The server is the most recent build 3.0.5675.1.

There was an issue on one of the lasted server builds the has created an issue with cast and crew/people (primarily in movies).  You will need to verify your movies still contain cast and crew/people.

 

If cast and crew are missing from your metadata then you need to refresh your library to get them back.

All that information is there, but never hurts to check .  As shown in my example, it seems to have no rhyme or reason about what movie it shows ... like how Jack Nicholson only brings up one movie from my server, even though I can clearly select him via the Cast and Crew on Anger Management (the movie with Adam Sandler, not the Charlie Sheen revenge-against-cbs show).

 

Here are two other examples showing Anger Management (with the cast), but clicking on Adam Sandler does not show all the moview available (I have more of his, but most notably, it does not show Anger Management, which at the very least clearly has him listed as a top cast slot):

 

 

 

As long as it is a known issue, that's fine ...  Guess I'll wait for a new build .  This post should be moved to the server forum then since it isn't just related to Roku anymore.

Data isn't lost, it's just not being displayed because the database format has changed a little in order to improve performance which should be evident by the must faster searches, and other improvements elsewhere. I chose not to do a forced migration because in the past people have not responded well to long migration processes after updates. The data will upgrade to the new format naturally as records get saved. That is why Happy2Play doesn't notice it, because he's been running dev builds and the migration has already happened for him over the last week or two.
