Mass "Watched" status Change?

Recommended Posts

I have seen other threads and even done this myself in the past, I could look at folders view and click a top level folder and select Watched to mark all items below that as watched.  Now when I go to All Movies and hover over all I get is a thumbs up/down and the heart for favorites.  I created a new user but want to mark everything as watched.  How is that done now?

Thanks

So I guess no body else at least on the forums has run into this? :(.  I don't have the time to go through hundreds of movies/shows and mark as watch.  Sure would be nice to know an easy fast way?

The difference is probably that now you are looking at an amalgamated view at the top level where before you probably were dealing with straight media folders.

If you were to (at least temporarily) un-group your media folders from the views, you could probably do it (and then re-group them).

The option still doesn't exist anymore when the folders are un-grouped either.

Oh, sorry.

It is a pretty dangerous option as it is irreversible.  It still exists in EMC but uses the server functions to do it so it may or may not work at all folder levels there either.

Unfortunately something that worked really well in MB2 - watched status at folder, season level that's not quite as easy now  :(

Watched status at the TV Series and Season level is reasonably simple with the WebUI. At least I have a check mark option at the Series and Season level in the WebUI that can mark all as Watched or reset all to Unwatched.

Yes you can do series one by one, but you could do the entire TV library with one click before.

Ah. Okay. That might be a good thing, unless the UI would throw up multiple stop signs before actually executing a mass change. I wouldn't want one inadvertent mouse click in the WebUI to reset my played status on 750 series and 29,000 episodes.

I do see the CHECK mark option at the top level of my MOVIES collection, but no CHECK mark option at the top level of my TV SERIES collection in the WebUI.

Yes but you have to go out of the App and through the WebUI

So bringing this back up, it seems 90% of my movies now show unplayed.  This is terrible, has anyone else had this issue?  This just recently happened.  I'm not sure what version update did it.  I'm on Version 3.0.5970.0 right now.

Try updating to 5971.

Hi, welcome. Sorry to hear about this. Please answer my questions in this thread and we'll get to the bottom of it and see how to resolve it:
