EBR, this support of Other Android Devices, is that for 5.X Android devices, or will it support 4.X as well?

It is the current mobile app which I think targets 4.4+.

as in the same one on the Amazon Store? if so I have 4.1.2 which I am going to attempt to test this weekend. as well as a Vizio & Netgear Google TV box.

Yes, that is the same app.

I just double-checked the source.  We target API level 14 which is 4.0.

Google TV is a prior version so, no, it will not work.

Just been playing with the latest version - great work and a lot more stable than before. Live TV and recordings both work and about the only things I had problems with are fast seek/jump forward and any sort of resume after pause when playing recordings (Nexus 6 Lollipop).

Glad to hear. Stability is the focus right now. We're sweeping through the application looking for issues and making sure the Api is implemented to spec. Also, we're going to get you guys the camera upload feature added to the app, since that's been available on the server since late October. And then we'll do mobile sync.

Hi all, newbie here - first post! (but have been using MB for a year or so).

I have an LG G3 on AT&T that was upgraded to Lollipop yesterday and now I can't stream over cellular.

Have tried in many locations. Works fine on all WiFi's.

I then updated the android client with the same results.

I rebooted my phone and the server as well.

Any ideas?

You may need to adjust your bitrate settings depending on the environment.  For any more specifics than that you'll need to open a new thread with more detail.

Is there an ETA for mobile syncing?

We pretty much never can provide ETAs for anything unless we are just about to release it.  Sorry, just the nature of this type of beast.

The Android app has been great since the update. It worked well before but connect never worked and it sometimes locked up. It seems much faster than before.

No problem, I know and understand that. I was just wondering if it would be a month rather than a week or half a year etc.

It won't be a week and I hope it won't be six months  ;).

Google TV is a prior version so, no, it will not work.

I got it to sideload from the Android app on the market, i can browse my movies and tv shows, when I play I get audio, but the video only plays lines dependong on what I select and thats on a Vizio Co-Star.

I will try it on my netgear google tv when i get off work today.

Tried on my Atrix HD 4.1.2 and it won't let me get past hitting the sign in button. and if I skip the server part to browse local, it get stuck at connecting

Will the redesigned app have media controls (notification and lock screen)?

Also, it would be cool if the remote control feature can be expanded to multi devices.

Example when I have a party, there are multiple tablets throughout the house showing currently playing media info. This way it gives guests control of media.

Right now, I use spotify premium to achieve this very easily. I know there's a FR out there for Sonos like sync, which understandably is a huge undertaking. Synced control should be a lot easier, right?

Hi, I'm using the latest official builds of android app and server on Amazon FireTV.

The android app allows dual mode, both tablet and TV.

I still use folder levels to organise and to navigate my media library ie TV shows\Drama\series1 and Movies\Kids\movie1

In tablet mode the folder structure is respected during navigation which is perfect but not ideal for large screen viewing.

However when I switch the app to TV mode and try to navigate my library via Media Folders option, all files in those categories are amalgamated into a one and the folder structure is not maintained.

Is this to be expected or am I missing a setting option somewhere?

Thanks

I tried to get a debug log from the Atrix, but it will not produce one.

And it hangs on trying to connect to a local server when I hit skip, or hangs when I hit sign in.

The Google TV Sideloaded App works except for when I hit the settings button and when certain videos are played back, it displays like one of those analog TVS where the screen is slidding sideways and barely able to make out what it shows.

Here is the log file from the Google TV Vizio Costar box in case it helps.

The TV layout was only partially implemented by the previous developer.  It isn't ready for real use yet.
