Redshirt 1487 Posted November 27, 2014 Author Posted November 27, 2014 Had you tested if Live TV worked in the web UI when it wasn't in the Android client? I suspect it was a back-end issue.

jonlowe 1 Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 On Android phone with on-screen nav icons (for example, HTC One M8), is there a way to play full screen in the Media Browser app? Is there an solution to this? Running Lollipop on a Nexus 5. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Luke 42077 Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 i've tested the app on lollipop on nexus 5. fullscreen video works just fine.
jonlowe 1 Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 How do you get to it? No option that I can see. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Redshirt 1487 Posted November 27, 2014 Author Posted November 27, 2014 Android 5.0 seems to be ignoring all the flags to hide the nav buttons. They should be going into low profile mode but aren't. I'm looking into it.
jonlowe 1 Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Thanks! Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
iam4uk 26 Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Rather than low profile mode, how to make the navigation icons disappear, and have full screen video.
dark_slayer 103 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Some of those features you mentioned are actually server related. The client just benefits from them. As for the unwatchable video during resume. Did you update your device to Android 5.0? Google broke HLS video playback in 4.4(or 4.3) and have since fixed it in 5.0. There's almost always performance/stability updates related to playback streaming though. Today's update, when it goes out. Will fix seeking for TV Recordings. -Okay thanks for the info -Updating to 5.0 LG G2 - no (exhibited issue after the first big update aka live tv added, running CM11 ~ 4.4 bootstack/kernel) Nexus 7 2012 - yes updated to lollipop Both no longer exhibiting prior issues -Understandable that updates usually improve stability, just didn't know what changed or why they work now. If an update caused instability I'm sure you'd hear it quickly Android 5.0 seems to be ignoring all the flags to hide the nav buttons. They should be going into low profile mode but aren't. I'm looking into it. N7 2012, yep nav buttons never go away Live tv option is there again now, Wasn't even showing yesterday Sent from the secret room in the back of your closet Looking for Live TV in the Library instead of the pull-out menu maybe? Live TV working quite nicely for me, really nice app at this point Red ~ just wish my channel logos in live tv were nicer looking they look good in normal Guide views, do you have any plans for a magnified touch-friendly guide view instead of channels?
blade005 185 Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 MB Android Version: 2.1.05 Android OS: 4.4.4 SEARCH BUTTON doesn't pop up the dialog box for entry when you first select it. It shifts the magnifying glass from the right side of the screen to the left and you have to select it a second time for the dialog box to appear. Is VOICE SEARCH coming to a future release of MB Android? 1
CBers 7450 Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Thta depends on how you have Ok Google configured. Default I guess.

"Ok Google" support has been available for a few updates now. 2
blade005 185 Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Thta depends on how you have Ok Google configured. Can you elaborate? If I use OK Google from within MBA it jumps out to Google Web search.
Redshirt 1487 Posted December 3, 2014 Author Posted December 3, 2014 Well assuming you have Ok Google configured to respond from any screen rather than just the desktop widget. You search with the correct syntax and it will search within the app. The results will be shown just like normal search. I no longer have any Android 4.x devices that I can test on, but I'm assuming the behavior is the same with them.
CBers 7450 Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 (edited) Thanks Red, just set it up on my Nexus 5 running Lollipop. Edited December 2, 2014 by CBers
Latchmor 584 Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Yip, just been trying via my Sony Smartwatch and it works. Although my second attempt to search 'Alien' ended up 'Ian' but MB did show me all actors named Ian 2

CBers 7450 Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 (edited) Will playback commands ever be available, such as play, resume, stop etc? Also, does the voice search via the FTV remote work within the app? Thanks. . Edited December 3, 2014 by CBers

From memory, I think the Amazon voice search works in a different way in that it's cloud hosted data that is searched rather than searching the device itself. I could be wrong.
blade005 185 Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Chromecast 'Mirror Content' Behavior in MB Android MBS Version 3.0.5445.6 MB Android Version 2.1.05 Selecting Chromecast from MB Android and choosing 'Mirror Content to Device' to either MBT or MBC does not show the Detail Page for either the Movie or TV Episode selected on MBT or MBC Client. Selecting Play does start the video on MBT or MBC Client. I used to get the Detail Page on MBT and MBC Client when selecting an item. This still works in the WebUI using Chromecast and 'Enable Display Mirroring'. Has something changed in latest MB Android update? I notice when I bring up the Chromecast window to select Client and 'Mirror Content to Device' that it displays NO MEDIA INFORMATION AVAILABLE.

It works for mirroring to a CC, just not other MB clients. No media info available is just meant to be an indication that nothing is playing yet. It'll update if you start playback to something.

Amazon has locked out all but a few apps from using voice search. Search in the TV UI's will have to be done in a different manor. 2

I don't have CC, but find the mirroring capability to clients quite handy when using MB Android on Phone or Tablet to quickly pull up an item and 'throw' it to MBC or MBT.
