Just gotta say this works like a charm!

Was thinking I'd have to install filebot on my nas on a cron to sort out some naming issues on download, but no! AO best match just works wanders, everything so far is caught, renamed and moved perfectly.

I totally agree. It is my most used non player feature of Emby. I use MCEBUDDY to cut commercials and drop the file into a folder that I have auto organize watching and it moves it automatically to the correct season folder in my tv shows folder. It is all so automatic now.

I use this custom file naming pattern to ensure MCEBuddy still works when it can't find metadata:

 

I've updated my custom file renaming as shown below:
%ifseason%<%showname% - S%season%##E%episode%##,%showname% - %airyear%-%airmonth%-%airday%>

 

This gives the following functionality:
* If season found, use this naming format: %showname% - S%season%##E%episode%##

* If season NOT found, use this naming format: %showname% - %airyear%-%airmonth%-%airday%

 

This really helps for daily shows like the Late Show or Ellen that tend not to have metadata pre-entered on sites like the TVDB.
