AMG6.0 1 Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Have this setup, it works in the devices within the house network, but when I try outside of this, it says the server is off when I'm 99% sure it is on. A quick search pointed to port forwading, which I think I managed to setup, although it asked for a range and I said 8096-8096 and switched the tcp option to both, ucp if I remember correctly? But when I try the canyouseeme link the port isn't working. Any advice would be great.
Luke 42081 Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 if canyouseeme isn't working then it's definitely firewall or port forwarding related. you need port forwarding setup on your router to your pc with the server. then you potentially need to make sure the port is open on your server machine. we attempt to do this automatically with windows firewall but if you've got other security software installed then it may not work.
AMG6.0 1 Posted July 14, 2015 Author Posted July 14, 2015 Ok. Cheers. I do have Comodo. Will have a look into it.
AMG6.0 1 Posted July 14, 2015 Author Posted July 14, 2015 Excelllent, cheers, port seems to work, off to the workshop see if I can work with the soothing sounds of group b on in the background. I could also do with someones clothes, their boots and their motorcycle. 1
