New content not being picked up prior to full library scan

For the last few daily ingestions of c. 5 tv episodes into the collection, i notice mb3 server library hasnt  appreciated the existence of the new content prior to a library scan completing.

When i search the log for an episode which has been added, there is no reference to the episode in log.

Does MB3 stop looking for 'on-the-fly' collection changes after a certain threshold, and does it become necessary to run a library scan task after a certain number of new episodes added in a given time period?

I have noticed this, too.  MB Server used to add new episodes to the collection as soon as they were placed into the appropriate directory.  Now it takes a media library scan before they are added.

 

I'm not sure if this is a bug or if it is by-design.  it's not a big deal either way (to me at least).

I think we made some changes to the DirectoryWatchers recently.  We didn't intentionally impact this but maybe we have a bug...

I really appreciate(d) the on the fly additions, as it is quite common to want to watch something soon after its added. maybe i just need to get used to running a library scan after i add the daily content.

yea i'm going to ease up some of the changes i made.
