johnbury 4 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 New version seems not to be able to find my XBOX One as a DLNA target for 'Play To'. I seemed some how to have clicked something to mark all episodes as 'seen' Not sure what it was. Hovering over a season or episodes, the display very quickly displays a large 'tick' symbol. if this is what I inadvertently clicked to mark an entire season as 'seen', the time taken to show this is very short! cheers
Luke 42081 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Thanks for the report. there's no changes here with dlna so I'm guessing it will just come back once the server sees the device.
johnbury 4 Posted July 12, 2015 Author Posted July 12, 2015 Hi I will wait and see. Also noticed that there is some colour changing ring that shows when the system is 'working'. I've noticed this changes to a dot orbiting and persists through playback of video files... Cheers
johnbury 4 Posted July 12, 2015 Author Posted July 12, 2015 Also, waited for about 1 hr and the Xbox one has still not shown up in my DLNA devices list...
Luke 42081 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 It's testing fine here with an XB1. It could be something environmental. You might try rebooting the xbox. I'm not sure.
johnbury 4 Posted July 12, 2015 Author Posted July 12, 2015 Not sure where these problems lay, but accessing EMBY via the Xbox one browser, some of the EMBY icons are displayed in 'giant size' from time to time.... ( hence my description of the 'large tick symbol' earlier. Seems to have settled down now! Cheers
Raff 51 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 There is a post in the Web Client area about this: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/23277-image-scaling-broken/ I haven't updated yet to the latest, but I could get the proper styles by refreshing. As soon as I figure out how to update to 3.0.5667.6, I will validate.
Luke 42081 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 you're saying refreshing the page resolved the issue in xbox one?
Raff 51 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 (edited) For me, on 3.0.5666.8, if I reload the page (usually once) the icons displayed the correct size. I speculated that somehow the CSS wasn't getting loaded in time or recognized. Unfortunately, doing that resets the DNLA setting - so I have to reselect it each time. Updating from the dashboard still doesn't work for me, and 3.0.5667.6 wasn't on the download page when I checked a few minutes back. Edit to add: I see the new version now, I will check it out. Raff 51 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Okay, here is what I have found after the upgrade: 1. I don't have the DNLA problem. My XB1 shows up just fine. 2. The overlays for User Folders and Shows have giant icons. Nothing I have done seems to fix it - see next. 3. When the Show or Season comes up, usually the buttons with icons are giant. If I hit my menu button and reload the page it generally fixes it. Sometimes it stays fixed, sometimes I need to reload again to get the UI right. Checking the logs, here is an interesting error that may or may not be related: 2015-07-12 15:10:18.8694 Error - HttpServer: Error processing request for /web/css/images/ajax-loader.gif *** Error Report *** Version: 3.0.5667.6 Command line: C:\[yada yada yada]\MediaBrowser-Server\system\MediaBrowser.ServerApplication.exe Operating system: Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Processor count: 8 64-Bit OS: True 64-Bit Process: False Program data path: C:\[yada yada yada]\MediaBrowser-Server Application Path: C:\[yada yada yada]\MediaBrowser-Server\system\MediaBrowser.ServerApplication.exe Could not find file 'C:\[yada yada yada]\MediaBrowser-Server\system\dashboard-ui\css\images\ajax-loader.gif'. Hope it helps.
Luke 42081 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Thanks for the info. I'll get the icons fixed on the xbox one web browser and report back. thanks.
Raff 51 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Thank you for the hard work. If it helps - this seems to be an issue with either IE10 or the XB1 specific version of it. Chrome works fine as does IE11. I'm not a Firefox user, so no idea there.
johnbury 4 Posted July 12, 2015 Author Posted July 12, 2015 i restarted the Xbox ( sure I had done this before....) , guess what!! Xbox one shows in the DLNA play to list!! The other issues though!!! The browser image flashes up huge versions of some screen icons, then reverts to proper sizes ( browser and style sheets). The the busy icon resolving to an orbiting fit remains however. Thanks John
johnbury 4 Posted July 12, 2015 Author Posted July 12, 2015 Raff is clearly more analytical than I.... Perhaps I shouldn't report issues after a couple of Taliskers. Good work everyone!! Cheers (and I mean, cheers)
