Chillout 110 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 (edited) My audio for live tv & some recorded TV is garbled as if it is only playing SAP or some audio not supported by the extender. In the past, I have been able to switch the audio tracks in the web client but it only shows one "unknown" audio stream. plazma 13 Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 you failed to say what tv backend your using, also what type of broadcast your viewing, eg dvb sd (mpeg based), dvb t2 x264, sat, cable etc. A sample short recorded tv file would also help identify the issue.
Chillout 110 Posted July 14, 2015 Author Posted July 14, 2015 SeverWMC. Cable TV using the HDHomerunPRIME. The audio is like its trying to fit 5.1 sound into 2.0 speakers. Very garbled and lots of noise. In the past I was able to click on the music note on the corner of the webui and select a different audio track and was fixed. Now the menu selection only says 'unknown audio'. Movies with AAC tracks play fine. A little more trouble shooting suggests this is only a problem on my ChromeBox extender. The Windows Chrome browser or Roku doesn't have an issue. Maybe the Chrombox updated itself and messed things up, but I wont know until I get back to my cottage where it is being used to send my home cable TV over the WAN.
