Best way to run emby server in unraid?

Hi

I am about ready to move my emby server from the windows based htpc to my unraid 6 server. As far as I can tell, there're are three ways to set this up

 

1). Run an unraid plugin (phaze)

2). Run unraid docker

3). Create a vm with another OS (Ubuntu?) and install it there

 

 

Any advice on best way to proceed?

the unraid plugin seems easy enough. i would start with that.

I'd advise the Docker, Docker is the recommended route for apps like this, while plugins are more suitable for adding functionality to the main system

Thanks. I did try the plugin this weekend and so far unable to get it working correctly..it installs ok but I can't access the emby server configuration screen.

 

 

I'll try the docker next and see how that goes

I'm doing the exact same thing. I just learned what a docker was a few hours ago. Tomorrow I'm going to upgrade my unraid server from 5.0 to 6.0 and try this docker thingy. I need a guide for dummies though, lol.
