Metadata save

I'm having trouble with emby saving the metadata into the media folders, there appears to be a random selection of folders that emby says it doesn't have permission to write too, for but checking the file system permisions it does.

 

For example in one TV series it saves the metadata fles for seasons 1-4 but won't do it for seasons 5 & 6, it appears to be random (I've been unable to determines a pattern).

 

any idea's on how to debug this?

is it flex raid?

Not flex raid, the file system is AUFS over EXT4

If it is AUFS, then my guess is that there is a different set of permissions across the underlying members of the union. Directories that are on one union member appear to have permissions allowing write by the user that Emby is running as, while directories on another are not-permissive even if the union FS itself appears permissive.

I had already checked that, the emby user has write permission across all members of the union
