zidge1751 2 Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Hi all am new to emby. I cant figure out how to get it to work on a roku over the internet. I have the server running and forwarded the port 8096. It keeps saying cant connect to the server. I connected my emby account to the server with no issues and I can see the server on the roku but if i click on it it says cant connect.
Solution ebr 16185 Posted July 2, 2015 Solution Posted July 2, 2015 It is going to be a problem with your firewall or router or it will be an incorrect remote address discovered by the server. Look at the server dashboard and the "remote access" address displayed there. Is it correct? If you put that in a browser remotely does it work? If not, you need to dig into the router and firewall setup to find out why.
zidge1751 2 Posted July 2, 2015 Author Posted July 2, 2015 I made a stupid error that I did not see I had the port opened but to the wrong PC on the network not the one with the server. All is working now. Thanx!!
