JustEric78 24 Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I saw a few hints to answers when looking around but thought I would ask specifically. I am really loving MB3 btw, cant believe I just found it a few days ago. I've been using MB2 for years and am envied by all who see my setup! Donated to 4-5 plugins and max amount on the MB3 supporter. I will give more as the project progresses just to keep it coming. I thought MB2 was amazing but you guys have done some really cool things with MB3. Makes me want to contemplate learning to be a dev but that aspect of IT always made me want to dig my eyes out with a spoon lol. In any case on to the questions. In MB2 I could change the order of the folders as they showed up when entering MB2. For instance I wanted it to default to Movies so it was first on the list then boxset, genres, and TV etc. It seems in MB3 it automatically sets them up in alpha order. This is a minor annoyance but an annoyance none the less. This next question is something I could never figure out how to do in either MB2 or 3. I would be willing to pay for this feature because of the amount of time it costs me. I would love if new folders, boxsets, and series etc. would have the option to default to cover flow as the view and backgrounds for the presentation. I have spent many hours going through redoing views on boxsets and folders. I will pay for someones time on this no joke!
Solution Tikuf 663 Posted November 21, 2013 Solution Posted November 21, 2013 Ok 1. In the dashboard go into one of you collection items click on edit and alter the sort order eg I will expand on this if you need me too but sometimes playing around is better 2. I assume you are talking about mb classic? For each of your user xml files in %appdata\MediaBrowser-Classic\Configurations\ Edit the xml tag <DefaultViewType>Poster</DefaultViewType> to <DefaultViewType>CoverFlow</DefaultViewType> 1
JustEric78 24 Posted November 21, 2013 Author Posted November 21, 2013 (edited) I love you sir. Not perfect on the sort but very easily done. Advanced find change =Poster to Coverflow ... Done deal. As promised another donation being sent! Awesome! EDIT: even better then I thought it is literally that one entry in the XML. I wish I had thought to check here before. Thanks again so much!
