JohnWhitmore 28 Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Now that I have the server side of things done.....how do I get to test the client side? I guess LiveTV is only in a client version being released to a small beta test team... I need to learn to sit and wait patiently.....and I need to learn that RIGHT BLOODY NOW!!!!!...lol Note to the programming team...this software is improving dramatically....well done....
krustyreturns 191 Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 I have this working pretty good. Can't wait until Live TV hits the Android app. The only issue I appear to be having is if I watch a channel live, then stop it, it does not release the tuner. If I go into my Ceton tuner device page I still have 4 tuners playing right now when only my HTPC has a live channel tuned at the moment. Does the serverwmc windows show that the live stream is still open? Its in the status tab.

SLAYER6669 0 Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Does the serverwmc windows show that the live stream is still open? Its in the status tab. Yeah it still showed them under active streams. I exited serverwmc and it released the tuners.
krustyreturns 191 Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 You are stopping the steams by hitting the 'stop' button? I know dumb question.

Luke 42077 Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Well, I will move it to the server area because that's where it belongs. This is a feature that will span all apps so we'll figure it out as we go. 1
SLAYER6669 0 Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 (edited) You are stopping the steams by hitting the 'stop' button? I know dumb question. Yeah, I actually just tested it out and it appears to be stopping the streams now from my server pc. Maybe it was the streams I opened from my phones browser instead that did not release. I am going to start some live streams to my phone now. Edited January 18, 2014 by SLAYER6669
Luke 42077 Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 technically it shoudlnt' matter how you stop. the clients dont' know anything about opening & closing live streams. it's all server-side. so as soon as ffmpeg stops (whether by being stopped or crashing or however), then we send the close stream command. so if you're seeing a stream left open, check if ffmpeg is also still running.
JohnWhitmore 28 Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Where can I list a bug with the TVGuide? I have a program that runs 1430-1431 and another 1431 - 1500. In the webclient guide view, I can only see the 1430-1431 show....not the one running for 29 min. If I go to the channel view, both programs are showing...I realise this may be done by plan...due to space and layout issues, but I suggest adding an icon to show that there are multiple shows in the 30 min timeslot...and in the timeslot, show the show that uses the most time in that timeslot, and if two are equal, show details for any show that is not dispalyed in a neighbouring timeslot....make sense?
SLAYER6669 0 Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 (edited) Yeah it's kinda weird. When I play a live channel through my Android phone chrome browser, when hitting stop, ffmpeg closes but it doesn't release the tuner. Works fine from my desktop browser. I tried Dolphin browser, and it released the tuner fine the first time I played a channel and stopped it, then after that it's not releasing them now. Not sure if I am just doing something wrong. Edited January 18, 2014 by SLAYER6669
Luke 42077 Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 we'll have to get more logging into the server so you we can tell if the close request is being sent to server wmc or not.
Luke 42077 Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 if server wmc fails to close the stream and throws an error, that will currently be caught and logged. so check the server log.
ernstgot 17 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Yes, in hindsight tempxbmc has been become unfortunate naming on my part . Anyway, you just did what I was going to ask you to try. So now try to play one of these channels and then look at the server log (debug tab in serverwmc). Find the part of the log between OpenLiveStream and OpenLiveStream 'done' and paste it here. Or do you guys every use pastebin.com? You can post the whole log there and paste a link to it here. 8:05:01.977 OpenLiveStream> -----------------start------------------------ 2014/01/18 18:05:01.977 OpenLiveStream> client: MediaBrowser^ requesting live stream 2014/01/18 18:05:01.978 StreamProc> live-tv started 2014/01/18 18:05:01.980 SetChannel> Tuner: Ceton InfiniTV PCIe (00-80-30-cf) Tuner 1 (00-00-22-00-00-80-30-cf) / d066851c-bce0-4fe1-8ace-44936743284b 2014/01/18 18:05:01.980 SetChannel> > Digital: True 2014/01/18 18:05:01.980 SetChannel> > Encrypted: False 2014/01/18 18:05:01.981 SetChannel> > RecorderInfo found: True 2014/01/18 18:05:01.982 SetChannel > busy: False, client: Prime_Digital Cable|ServerWMC 2014/01/18 18:05:01.982 SetChannel> > tuner is available (taking tuner from Prime_Digital Cable) => stopping search 2014/01/18 18:05:01.982 SetChannel> Recorder Content Protection: PROT_COPY_FREE 2014/01/18 18:05:01.983 SetChannel> Recorder acquired: True 2014/01/18 18:05:01.983 SetChannel> TuneRequest set 2014/01/18 18:05:02.025 StreamProc> wtv recording started in 0.05 sec 2014/01/18 18:05:02.025 StreamProc> stream output file: LiveTV_MediaBrowser^22_Digital Cable_550_2014_01_18_18_05_01.ts 2014/01/18 18:05:02.027 StreamProc> started remux thread: 'HBOHD-550: 2209717' 2014/01/18 18:05:02.030 Remux::FindDescriptors> Scanning wtv for streams... 2014/01/18 18:05:02.233 Parse> Guid: 0 took 0.20 sec, it was attempted 97 times 2014/01/18 18:05:02.235 Parse> Encryption guid found, count: 47, stream Id: 40 2014/01/18 18:05:02.235 Parse> Encryption guid found, count: 49, stream Id: 38 2014/01/18 18:05:02.235 Parse> Encryption guid found, count: 52, stream Id: 39 2014/01/18 18:05:03.113 Parse> Descriptor pass done, using 500 guids in 0.88 sec 2014/01/18 18:05:03.113 Parse> Unknown Guid summary: 3 instances of 2 unique unknown guids encountered 2014/01/18 18:05:03.113 > F7 10 02 B9 EE 7C ED 4E BD 7F 05 40 35 86 18 A1 {b90210f7-7cee-4eed-bd7f-0540358618a1} 2014/01/18 18:05:03.113 > 1E BE C3 C5 43 92 DC 11 85 E5 00 12 3F 6F 73 B9 {c5c3be1e-9243-11dc-85e5-00123f6f73b9} 2014/01/18 18:05:03.113 Parse> Total Descriptor parse time: 1.08 sec 2014/01/18 18:05:03.113 Pass 'Descriptor': 2014/01/18 18:05:03.113 > WtvToPesDemuxer::Parse> total guid headers processed: 500 2014/01/18 18:05:03.113 > WtvToPesDemuxer::Parse> total data packets processed: 95 2014/01/18 18:05:03.113 Remux::FindDescriptors> wtv scanned (1.08 sec), Streams found: 2014/01/18 18:05:03.113 > Other: ID:31 MS TV Caption 2014/01/18 18:05:03.113 > Audio: ID:38 (eng) AC3 5.1 48000 Hz 384 kb/s 2014/01/18 18:05:03.114 > Audio: ID:39 (spa) (HearingImpaired) AC3 2.0 48000 Hz 96 kb/s 2014/01/18 18:05:03.114 > Video: ID:40 MPEG-2 MP-HL 1920x1080i fps: 30000/1001 AR: 16:9 2014/01/18 18:05:03.114 Remux::FindDescriptors> Hearing Impaired (SAP) audio streams removed: 1 2014/01/18 18:05:03.114 Remux::FindDescriptors> Output streams: 2014/01/18 18:05:03.114 > Audio: ID:38 (eng) AC3 5.1 48000 Hz 384 kb/s 2014/01/18 18:05:03.114 > Video: ID:40 MPEG-2 MP-HL 1920x1080i fps: 30000/1001 AR: 16:9 2014/01/18 18:05:03.328 StreamProc> 'ts' file created, size: 65,536 in 1.30 sec 2014/01/18 18:05:03.328 StreamProc> total time: 1.35 sec 2014/01/18 18:05:03.328 OpenLiveStream> stream path returned to client: H:\Recorded TV\TempXBMC\LiveTV_MediaBrowser^22_Digital Cable_550_2014_01_18_18_05_01.ts 2014/01/18 18:05:03.328 OpenLiveStream> -----------------done------------------------- 2014/01/18 18:05:03.328 Finished request OpenLiveStream in 1.35s 2014/01/18 18:07:14.642 MaintenanceTimer> callback at 6:07 PM 2014/01/18 18:07:14.645 MaintenanceTimer> callback - complete 2014/01/18 18:08:24.361 Received client request: MediaBrowser^@MEDIACENTER-PC@22|CloseLiveStream 2014/01/18 18:08:24.361 CloseLiveStream> -----------------start------------------------
krustyreturns 191 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 ernstgot, have you tried a channel that is not likely encrypted? I'm thinking that HBO-HD probably is encrypted. Although it is finding the streams and the com recorder is saying its copy-free, its also finding embedded encryption headers.

Deuce911 10 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) Not sure if this is the correct place to put this but could not find anywhere else so here goes. I have installed the LiveTV Plugin and I have a few issues. 1. The Serverwmc seems to do a channel scan to determine if a channel is encrypted or has DRM, on my system I have combined OTA (no DRM) and Cable (DRM) into a single channel on the guide, if my last tuner is a cable tuner in sources then the software thinks the channel has DRM, if I select a OTA tuner as the last tuner then it thinks the channel has no DRM and things work fine. Bottom line is if you have combined sources in your guide you may have to separate them for this to work. 2. I changed the port to 9085 in the Plugins configuration for ServerWMC and in the Serverwmc also, when I did that I always got a popup box that said I have no tuner available and in the small video window is would say INVALID SOURCE even though there was a stream open and was recording in the temp directory for Serverwmc. When I changed the port back to 9080 the popup box did not show up but it still had the INVALID SOURCE in the small display window. There are no errors in the Serverwmc logs, the stream starts fine, but I will add it never stops and I have to close out the server to get it to stop. Everything else seems to work with a few small glitches in the schedules such as blank shows. Thanks for all your hard work on this project and things look great for the plugin so far. DavidS1977 9 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Hello - I can't wait to get started with this excellent new feature! I use WMC as my day to day TV service, so it's great to see my two favourite services coming together. I am having some problems which I think may relate to having the server installed on WHS2011 and ServerWMC installed on one of the clients. Has anyone managed this yet? I have ServerWMC installed on my htpc and the Live TV plugin on the MBS (on my WHS2011). The Live TV service area on the Dashboard shows the ServerWMC service status as "Ok". I can access the shared recorded tv folder through explorer on my server . Whenever I try to play live tv from the guide I get a Video Error saying "There was an error playing the video. Please ensure there is an open tuner availalble." The status window of ServerWMC seems to show these new active streams which stop when the web client error message above appears. Similarly, when I try to play recorded TV, I get a message saying "there was an error playing the video". The recordings work normally inside WMC (whether it was scheduled in Media Browser or WMC itself). I've pasted my ServerWMC log below but I think the issue may be more to do with the web client as the ServerWMC client seems to be operating correctly. Is there another log file I should be checking? Thanks for your help.
