Guest johnsonj4isu Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 I know "not working" is not a very descriptive title, but it's the best I could do in one sentence... Here's a more thorough description of my setup and problem. I have a Windows 7 PC running Emby Server, recently updated to Version 3.0.5641.4. I have an external hard drive connected to the PC with a "Movies" folder and "TV Shows" folder, with sub-folders in each. I am basically following the organizational guidelines of the original Media Browser Plug-in for WMC. I primarily view media via the Emby app on my Android phone (via Chromecast) or tablet, and a Roku stick. Recently I started getting a "server unavailable" error from each of these clients. I went in through the Emby web browser interface on the PC hosting the server, and found that I could play movies and SOME tv shows, but not others. On some shows I get an error that says "There was an error playing the video". I've attached a screenshot of that, but there's not much more information than that. As I said, other tv shows and movies will play in the browser, and they are all in the same location and format - ripped from DVD and converted to mp4. Most importantly, they all played fine on my Emby clients at one point, and all play fine locally with VLC, so I'm very sure it is not a problem with the files themselves. And as I said, I can't even connect to the sever via Android or Roku apps. I can't be certain, but I feel the problem must have started when I automatically updated to the latest version. I have my updates set to "automatic stable release" and I noticed an email from Emby Community saying a new version was available, and I'm pretty sure it was right after that that it stopped working properly. I'm certain I did not change any settings in the Emby dashboard between the last time it worked and the first time it didn't... Please let me know if there's any additional information I can provide. Thanks in advance. server-63570960000.txt
