Showing how/where exactly?

Here's what I see on the server ...

Here's the recorded TV on the file system ...

But, in the FireTV client, there is nothing to be found for Live TV recordings, either scheduled recordings or recordings that have already run.  It seems that all recording related stuff is missing in the Fire TV client.

When I select Live TV on the Fire TV client, there's a brief flash of a section that should be the Recorded TV stuff, but it quickly disappears.  I believe that is related to Emby not thinking that there are any recordings available.

So, there's nothing in the FireTV client that is showing completed recordings, or items that are currently scheduled.

The recordings section in the Fire TV app is not fully implemented yet but iit does show your already recorded items.  Looking at your screen shot from the web client, it doesn't think you have any recordings either so that is why you don't see them on the FTV.

Yes ... I figured these were related.

So, it seems that both the Web client and the FireTV app don't show existing recordings.  I'm assuming that this is a bug as opposed to configuration?

Not sure what is going on with your end, but my fire tv clients (Stick & Box) all show my recorded shows. Could it possibly be the backend you are using? I run WMC and haven't had a lick of problems.

Here is web client showing recordings.

Not using WMC ... Running Emby with EmbyTV PVR backend.

Looks like the problem may not be with the Emby FireTV plugin, but with the Emby server itself.  The web client isn't showing the recorded shows either.

I will have to check later. My testing server is running EmbyTV backend and I am pretty sure that that the recorded shows are showing.

Will update soon.

This is my test server running EmbyTV back end. It is showing my recordings.

Have you set the recording location in the EmbyTV settings?

Here's from the web client.  My assumption is that the challenge with the FireTV client is a result of an underlying server problem.  In the FireTV client, the recordings management menu doesn't even show up.

Also, from the response above, EmbyTV is a work in progress.

Very weird. Yes it is still a work in progress.

All my TV shows go into the TV directory under my recording directory.

As you can see, my setting is C:\LiveTV and all my recordings go into C:\LiveTV\TV\ Show name

OK ... I created a new folder, E:\DVR, went to the guide and started a recording on a show in flight, then stopped the recording.

This seemed to do the trick for having that show included in the recordings.

I'm scheduling a recording to see if that will fire off as expected.  The recordings that I had scheduled did not fire off.

I have been getting that a lot on the EmbyTV back end. I think what it is doing is looking for an open tuner but gets stuck. Still researching in my logs to verify if it is the same each time it doesn't record.

@ Chuck Try recording a few epeisodes for 5 - 10 min and see if what the results are.

After changing the folder, it seems to be working fine.

I have some recordings scheduled to fire off on the 6th.  Going to see if the out scheduled recordings fire off.

Once a show is recorded, it shows up in both the web and FireTV clients.

You may want to note that when a recording is running, if you attempt to delete the recording it throws an exception.  But, it works fine if you stop the recording then delete.  You may want a catcher in the delete routine to stop the recording if it's underway, with a dialog identifying that the recording is running and asking for user verification for stopping the recording and completing the delete.

Scheduled recordings launching and completing as expected.  Latest recordings showing up just fine.

But, when I attempt to play one of the recordings with the FireTV client, I get the following error message;

Video playback error - failed to load video

Starting a new thread.
