Xzener 729 Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 (edited) Hello, Is it just me, or are treated covers not working in the Web Client anymore?? I'm running the latest beta v3.0.5641.4 Edited June 26, 2015 by Xzener
Xzener 729 Posted June 26, 2015 Author Posted June 26, 2015 Ok, so it looks like its just on my Windows Phone. Can anyone confirm this strange behavior??
Luke 42080 Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 Yes, we have to apply some workaround for safari, and IE on windows phone will sometimes identify itself as safari. I will leave you to ask MS why they would do such a thing
Xzener 729 Posted June 26, 2015 Author Posted June 26, 2015 Thanks for the response. Not going to ask M$ about that, I'm sure many have already.
ScottIsAFool 517 Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 I will leave you to ask MS why they would do such a thing Why? They've said why they did it. Websites sniff the user string rather than detect browser features, and since IE in WP8.1 was on a par (according to them) with other mobile browsers, they made IE in WP8.1 be detected as either chrome or safari. So if you want to know why, it's web developers' fault
Xzener 729 Posted June 26, 2015 Author Posted June 26, 2015 Really???? HAHA!! Force of habit, its MUCH quicker to type.... Im a M$ fan, believe you me.
