AdrianW 1058 Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 I currently have MBC (Emby for WMC) and Emby Server installed on the same PC under my TV. I'd like to try Kodi as a client for my Emby media collection. But I'm confused as I thought Kodi provided all the same functionality as Emby. Is it possible to configure Kodi as just a client without it's server functionality? I don't want Kodi messing with any of my metadata (which I store with my media and update via metabrowser).
xnappo 1611 Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 It has some rudimentary functions like Emby. Just install Kodi, and install the addon. As long as you don't try to add any media manually through Kodi it won't mess with your metadata in any way. 1

AdrianW 1058 Posted June 26, 2015 Author Posted June 26, 2015 Thanks, guys. So, if I want to use a Kodi client on two different PC's is it just a case of installing it on both PCs and pointing both at the same Emby server? 1
