Dual Episode naming convention

Recommended Posts

I have a couple of tv episodes that have season pilots lumped into 2 episodes.  S01E01E02 for example.  What is a good naming convention for such episodes?

One way of organizing it that is to place the file into your auto-organize folder. There will be a popup menu with the option to sort the file with a "starting episode" and an "ending episode".

However, the way you have your example looks okay to me.

How do you refresh metadata from the web client for a multi-episode file?  I can't seem to find a way to do so, I only see the option for a single episode file.

There are several options listed on github.  I use the one like yours, but it probably doesn't need the name

Can you provide an example of the issue you are having?  I use a hyphen but your naming scheme should work.

Perhaps, Luke would be interested in adding a final episode option in the metadata manager for TV shows.

It could auto fill the final episode number.

It might be a little more user friendly.

I haven't had any issues naming multiparty episodes, however showing the user that option would make sense!

If the media file is only one episode then the "ending episode" text box would just have the same episode number in it as the "starting episode".

I think it is worth having there.

It would be nice to see the metadata for the second episode on the page.  I think right now it just shows the info from the first episode in a muti-episode file.

Expanding the overview box shows the description for second episode.  There merged when displayed though.
