RichardU 0 Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 (edited) Is there any way to stream multiple devices from Emby simultaneously? Thanks, Richard Edited June 24, 2015 by RichardU
Deathsquirrel 745 Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Each device can connect and hit play at any time, up to your maximum bandwidth and ability to transcode (if needed). There is no way to tell it to send the same video to multiple client devices at once. That would require multicast support that doesn't exist in this or any similar product I'm aware of.
RichardU 0 Posted June 24, 2015 Author Posted June 24, 2015 Thanks. Multicast sounds like what I am looking for. Basically, I want to display on two TVs at once, something that was easy before the days of HDMI and HDCP.
Deathsquirrel 745 Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Well the old methods involving cable splitters and the like are probably still fine. HDCP really doesn't factor into videos that have been stripped of the DRM that looks for that copy protection scheme
