Custom Shortcuts?

Hey All,

 

I'm using OSMC on my raspberry pi with the default theme and the emby plugin. Really awesome job btw, I like this 100x more than the Roku. Anyways.. I am trying to customize the home screen, but I need some help figuring out the entrypoints.

 

Here's what I want, but I'll settle for what's possible:

 

New Movies

     - Box cover view of most recent in category

Kids Movies

     - Box cover view of most recent in category

Movies

     - Box cover view of most recent in category

 

Where each of those items are a media folder in emby.

 

The box cover view (as seen in my first screenshot), is apparently a widget (as seen in image 4). Can I customize the widget to be an emby media folder?

 

I also want to change the Custom Action (image 3) where it says "ActivateWindow(Videos...)". Can they be something like "ActivateWindow(Kids Movies://...)" What's the syntax, are there docs?

You can try something like (if nothing displays, try maybe removing the return at the end or try to copy a syntax you already know works). Just replace {EMBY USERVIEW NAME} with the name of the view section in your webclient.

 ActivateWindow(Videos,library://video/Emby - {EMBY USERVIEW NAME}/{EMBY USERVIEW NAME}_recent_episodes.xml,return)

You can replace "recent_episodes" with the following (according to type of content):

TV SHOWS
all, genres, nextup_episodes, progress, progress_episodes, recent, recent_episodes

MOVIES
all, genres, progress, recent, sets, unwatched

To point to favorites

ActivateWindow(Videos,library://video/emby_favorite_movies.xml,return)
ActivateWindow(Videos,library://video/emby_favorite_shows.xml,return)

Thanks for the tip, .kodi/userdata/library has all the xml files in it.. good stuff
