Somehow my server just vanished - I reinstalled it, and now, when it goes to the localhost:port page, it's telling me I don't have the correct username/password... There's only one I would ever use for local equipment, and it's not working - how do I get around this?

try clicking forgot password on the login page

I've done that - nothing happens; I've tried with my first name, my 'standard' username, and both of my email addresses - when I click on 'submit', nothing happens besides the 'reblanking of the user/password entries - what's supposed to happen ? Most stuff in my experience sends a password recovery link via email - I've looked, and nothing's there either...

Your emby server doesn't have your email address so it can't do that. Once you go through that process your password will be blank

Thank you so much!! When the thing resets after clicking 'submit', it places text 'password' in the password box - never thought of blanking that & logging in - duh! Am in dashboard and all is well

Failing CMOS battery can have the same effect sometimes where you can't login to any website due to HTTPS/SSL authentication errors... because the timestamp on your computer is wrong.  Happened to me recently and coincidentally while I was trying to get Emby up and running. :P  Easy fix is install new CMOS battery and reset windows date/time.  Just saying in case it helps someone in the future.
