Fire TV: Audio synch with bluetooth

Well ... with progress comes pain ... ;-)

 

Testing out Bluetooth headset with Fire TV, I'm getting almost a full sec. delay in audio from video.

 

The Fire TV apps work fine, suggesting that there is a way of accommodating for the transmission lag.

 

So far, all content in Embry experiences the audio lag, Movies, Live TV, etc.

 

I read a post in another forum suggesting that there is a work around by leveraging Kodi with a few plugins to offset the audio to synch the video with the sound.  Seemed fairly complex, and less than elegant.

 

For the time being, I forego late night headphone usage for Emby

Is this still an issue? Because I'm thinking about getting a BT headset.
