Hello Support and Emby community,

I have discovered an issue with Emby Theatre whereby if it was last launched on a secondary display, then subsequently launched on the same PC but with the secondary display not connected, an error message "There was an error launching Emby: '-240' is not a valid value for property 'Width'" imediately after the application is launched. After click 'OK', another error message appears "Unhandled exception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object".  The application then terminates.  As a .NET programmer myself, my estimation is that Emby has stored the location of the window when it was last launched, but now that value is invalid is that position no longer exists.

I was able to manually correct the problem by change the 'WindowLeft' parameter in the '%appdata%\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Theater\config\system.xml' file however this is obviously an issue that needs to be resolved in a future version.  I am using Emby Theatre 3.0.5621.22052 running on Windows 7.

Hope to see this fault resolved as it is an easy fix.

This issue happened to me today as well on a 3 monitor setup running windows 10 pro X64, Emby Theatre ver: 3.0.5848.255.

I was attempting to use windows hotkeys (H + right/Up arrow) to move my emby theatre window from my left monitor (in maximized window) to the right monitor and then to maximize it.  the Emby Theatre window disappeared after I was able to get the window to the right screen and was attempting to use the hotkey (H + Up Arrow) to maximize it.  I then was not able to get the window back using the window hotkeys (H + right/Up arrow, or Alt + Tab), I right clicked then closed the application from my task bar, then found that the app was still running in my task manager.  I then ended the process in task manager.  on opening the program again I received the message:

"There was an error launching Emby: '-255' is not a valid value for property 'Width'"

after accepting the message, I also received the message

"Unhandled exception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

These error messages continued to occur even after uninstalling and reinstalling the application.  I found the system.xml file Xlr8ed mentioned in "C:\Users\shepard\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Theater\config" and deleted the content of the "WindowLeft" variable, and was able to get the application working again.
