Server sleeps while streamimg

Hi

 

While streaming to a roku, for example, my htpc (where emby server sits on windows 7) will go into sleep mode. I have been into advanced power settings and checked "prevent sleep" while media sharing

 

 

Any other ideas on how to troubleshoot?

Yes, is a headache. The only solution I found is Sleepless, a freeware application.

By default windows will not sleep if a file is open on another PC but the problem is the roku is not a PC and cannot directly access the files. Emby does not do anything to prevent sleep. I have seen other streaming get around this and hopefully emby will eventually do the same.

Thanks for the replies. So it sounds the way to go for now is run an app like the "sleepless" app recommended above

Or hope Emby developers do something to prevent sleep while streaming like what Plex did.
