feerlessleadr 173 Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 First off, I want to say thanks again to the devs working on this awesome addon. I feel like it has breathed new life into my kodi box, and has increased my WAF tenfold. Secondly, I apologize in advance for creating yet another 'watched' thread on this forum, but I read through each of the other threads, and didn't think that they specifically addressed my 'issue'. With that out of the way, some background details: I currently run the latest available emby beta addon (.08) on both my windows Kodi box and my openelec box. My Windows box behaves as expected in all respects, but in particular, when I complete watching a show or movie, as soon as I get back to the episode/movie listing, the item is marked as watched immediately. On my openelec box however, once I watch a previously unwatched show/movie, and return to the episode/movie listing, said show will be marked as watched, then will almost immediately become unwatched, then after about 5-10 seconds, it will go back to watched. Obviously this isn't a serious bug or anything, but with my OCD, I figured maybe it is something specific on the openelec side that is throwing things off. Anyhoo, here is a log of me watching 2 previously unwatched episodes of Hannibal, which captures the above weirdness. https://www.dropbox.com/s/v9b100cmff5gbxc/kodi.log?dl=0 thanks again for your consideration
Angelblue05 4132 Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 (edited) Yeah, it's normal and something we have to fix. Currently we use json-rpc to set the watched status and erase resume time to follow the Emby behavior. However it performs very slowly. We need change the way we do this, we just haven't had the chance yet. Thanks for reporting Edited June 18, 2015 by Angelblue05 1

Thanks for reporting Have experienced this when marking a whole season as watched, the "box highlight" around the poster starts to flicker, and slows down the gui a bit. Looking forward to future updates. 1
puithove 209 Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 @@Angelblue05 - Can this be added to the Trello board so it'll be tracked? I'd vote on it then as this does bug me.
Angelblue05 4132 Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Indeed. https://trello.com/c/ncBoTr1l/95-watched-status
Angelblue05 4132 Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 This should be resolved next version 1.0.10. 2
Angelblue05 4132 Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Let me know if there's still a delay, using 1.0.10, thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Angelblue05 4132 Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 (edited) It seems much better from my experience too. The flicker is gone. I've also tested at season level and series level and it was instant so I'm very happy with the change so far. Edited June 20, 2015 by Angelblue05 1
