Emby Theater - repeated "unable to process the request due to unexpected error" when logging out (to switch users)

Most of the time when I log out of Emby to switch users, I get multiple (from 3 to ~20) "there was an error processing the request" (sorry topic title is wrong) messages on the screen that I have to hit OK for each.

 

In the background, you can see the user icon screen fading in -- each time you hit OK it fades in a bit more.

 

Initial log in when stating Theater is always fine, it's only when you log out.

I don't see anything useful in the logs, though the out-of-bounds index is interesting since it looks like it's for the user list, even though it doesn't happen when the Theatre errors occur.

This has been ongoing for a few months and several upgrades of Server and Theatre, but seems to be getting a lot worse lately.

 

If it is coming from the user array index issue, I have three "regular" users and one user that is set has "hide this user from login screens" since it set for all-library access for a DLNA device in the house.

 

I just tried setting that user to not hidden, same error.
