MBT and MBC live together in perfect harmony? (see what I did there?)

Apologies if this is a noob question, but I cannot find this answered on the forums; is it possible to install MBT on my htpc and keep MBC alongside it? Then I can choose to play around with MBT to configure it for maximum WAF and update it as necessary but still let the wife use MBC in the interim?

I have a 23 day old baby and a sleep deprived wife - if I try something that makes the htpc stop working during the day when I am not around to sort it out then I may be better off not going home!
