Hitman36 0 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Hi, I'm wondering if it's possible to add my bluray ROM drive to Emby, so when I select it eg. Bluray drive "tab" (within emby) it will launch Powerdvd and play the disk like loading an ISO? Thanks.
ebr 16169 Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Windows will do this all on its own. Just turn on auto-play for the drive and it should launch when you insert a disc.
ronvp 92 Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 You can also setup a media stub in your library and EMBY should then prompt you to insert the right disc. I have not used it, but it is there if you need it https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Media%20stubs

ronvp 92 Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 (edited) How do you point that to the disc drive on your server? Does it just know to look there? I have not tried it, but I suspect all it does is bring up a warning for you to put the DVD or BR in the player. Then most pc's have only one DVD or BR, so when prompted, you insert the disk and then windows/media center should start playing it automatically, using the default program for DVD's or BR's . Edit: I just noticed you are looking to insert the disk in your server..and not on your client machine. You may need to check with a developer.. Edited June 16, 2015 by ronvp

You won't be able to share the physical drive with the Roku. Edited June 16, 2015 by Koleckai Silvestri

You click on Play and the client just sits there. Most of the clients don't even have an indicator stating it is a stub and not an actual movie.
Hitman36 0 Posted June 16, 2015 Author Posted June 16, 2015 Thanks for the suggestions, Guy's appreciated! So it looks like I need to list my movies in a stub, I can't use the autoplay feature/enabled as it seems to load up Pdvd twice and I get an error Pdvd is already running. Would be a cool feature to have a disk icon of sorts that changes when media is inserted and start playback from within emby by selecting/double clicking it. Cheers.
ebr 16169 Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 You said you are trying to play back on a Roku? This is the Emby for WMC forum...
