Audio Issue on Fire TV

I have the same problem neocube has.

Best thing is only the Fire Stick has the problem, the old Fire TV Box works fine.

If I hook it up to my 5.1 system it works but direktly at the TV it doesn't Transcode to stereo.

I found a work-around to the problem of AC 5.1 audio on the Kindle Fire Stick not playing the dialog channel:

 

If I experience the problem, from the Emby Fire TV app I can turn on Closed Captions.  Then the audio dialog channel works as expected.  I can then usually turn off Closed Captions, and the dialog channel continues to work.

 

FYI, I am streaming .VOB files in VIDEO_TS folders ripped from DVD.  I can provide other details of my setup if that is helpful.
