lilp 0 Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Hi, I install Emby on Ubuntu 14.04. And I watch my movie on a RpI2, or by the webbrowser. But when I start to play a movie, the ffmpeg process is over 100% of CPU charge. It's normal? It's possible to change a config file for using more RAM than CPU? Thanks.
strikegun 2 Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 (edited) Same here. Ubuntu 14.04 starting a <720p movie works. But movies with 1080p terrible hangs. And if I start one movie I have several processes. Is that normal? here a htop screenshot: Edited June 24, 2015 by strikegun
Schussel 0 Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 same here too. Ubuntu 14.04 ffmpeg is producing up to 8 processes which can´t be stopped even if i stop the movie. If I was starting several movies the processes are stacking and stacking and stacking until the system crashes. I think the reason of no playing movies is the laggy system then.
Schussel 0 Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 ok i realized that the movies are starting after waiting 1 Minute 30 seconds. But there are stillt much processes and the cpu-usage is by 100% of both cores
Luke 42077 Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 there should only be one process per video. before looking further i would make sure you're on the latest version of the server.
Schussel 0 Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 i have updated today from Version 3.0.5641.0 to 3.0.5641.5
