JeremyFr79 228 Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 I found tonight that Emby for Android is not adhering to the bitrate set in the app. For instance tonight I tested some LiveTV content, the app showed that it was set for 720p 1.5mbps, However the server showed it was transcoding it at 8mbps. I was able to verify this was the case by watching the throughput on my router. Anyone else seeing this ( or even realizing it's happening for that matter) This is a huge issue if you're on 3g/4g connection without unlimited data.

JeremyFr79 228 Posted June 12, 2015 Author Posted June 12, 2015 i've tested and couldn't repro but i will keep an eye out for it. hmmm weird, I will try with other content, I'm wondering if it's just LiveTV that has the issue, For now I'm no longer watching content unless on WiFi until I can get this figured out. I thought server maybe was just reporting incorrectly, but like I said was able to verify on my PFSense box that was in fact the bandwidth it was sending out.
