New install questions

I've just installed the latest version of Theater on my HTPC is an initial test for switching from Classic, I've being doing my testing on my desktop up to now.

 

Two problems although they may be connected, I don't have them on my test machine

 

The display is an HD TV running at 720x1280, I maximised Theater to full screen, the interface appears to be running correctly but when I played a video back it was not using all of the screen and had a large black border on all four sides, it looked like it was about 640x480 4:3, The video is 720x576 and should be displayed as 16:9.

 

The second problem, which may be related, is that the picture was very dark as if the brilliance ad/or contrast needed adjusting. I've checked the video on the same machine/display in Classic and WMP12 and it displayed normally.

check the settings are there are zooming settings, possibly others related to the brightness
