Video Skips where trans-coded sections are stitched together.

ever since Emby has been able to trans-code "CHUNKS"  of video at a time, rather than the whole thing at once, I've noticed the video has a small jitter where the two trans-coded sections meet or overlap.   I have noticed this on the Roku client, I haven't watched a movie on the WEB client in a long time so i don't know if it happens there too..   Is this a known issue?

It isnt just you. I notice this on the roku too. Its noticeable, most people overlook it, but you can definitely see this in avi's encoded with xvid/mp3. It doesn't distract from the video, since these avi type usually have other defects: poor resolution, compression artifacts, bad color temperatures. But It does look weird when it happens, and everyone in the room makes curious looks at each other when it does. The same looks made when a satellite signal degrades and you get issues.

It isn't annoying, just looks glitchy I agrees.

Do you see it as like a "deja vu" moment where half a second or so of video repeats or "stutters" if so I'm seeing the same thing on Roku clients as well, didn't think much of it as they're external users, figured it was just a glitch in the connection.

@@JeremyFr79 Yeah, it is like the "black cat scene" in the matrix.

The repeated frames, like the video jumps back for half a second, every now and then. It is clear by the "stuttering" that it is a glitch in something.

Maybe the hard-wire's been cut, and there are agents on the way?!
