Disappearing Content

I have 4 libraries setup in my EMBY 
 
Movies (Content Type: Movies)
TV (Content Type: TV)
Kids TV (Content Type: TV)
Anime  (Content Type: TV)
 
And the libraries are across 2 raid arrays 
 
TV is on Array 2
Movies, Kids TV and Anime are on Array 2
 
At least once a day Anime and Kids TV seem to have an issue where you try to access them from either the web interface, roku or AFTV with no explanation, its like it thinks there is no content there, I initally thought this was due to a harddrive spinning down or something, but as im not scanning my libraries when it happens (i only scan at 5am) this is not a valid explanation. 
 
The only way to resolve this issue is to initiate a scan, the second the scan starts they all come back? then i can cancel the scan and away we go, its very very frustrating, as I am making the move to EMBY and keep getting plagued with small annoying issues that affect the user experience

I don't follow your logic on ruling that out (a drive spun down).  Based on the above, that sounds like exactly what is happening.

Well if it was due to a drive spin down - the other content that resides on that drive would also vanish, and that is not the case here.

 

If all the content on the drive vanished then I would put it down to spin down, BUT also why would EMBY remove content from its Library if it hasnt scanned?

 

This is the current scenario. 

 

5am Library Scan - finds all media across all drives 

1pm son goes to watch some TV in the "kids tv" section I get a text message informing me of this and I take a look at the library via the web interface and sure enough if I select Kids TV or Anime they are all empty, Movies and TV are fine.

Initiate scan - Anime and Kids TV come back. 

 

I would be inclined to agree with a disc power down, IF movies vanished as well, but they dont. I have disabled all live monitoring, so they only way media is added/removed is when the 5am scan happens, unless EMBY scans otherwise?
