Open on last used monitor

When reopening MBT, it should display on the last monitor it was on, and preferably in full screen or not, depending on last use.

Definitely, though I must say I have only tried this on my PC with x3 monitors not on my HDTV HTPC. I assume on  the HTPC it will default to full screen at start.

it does save window state and position, but not monitor.

I was gonna ask about this.  It would be great if it saved monitor as well, secondary monitor is the TV on my setup(s).

Try UltraMon http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/ it remembers last used monitor and window size, or you can assign a specific monitor. I've have and still use UntraMon for 8 years now even despite Win8 now providing a bit better support for multi monitors.

In the same train of thoughts, it'd be awesome if there was a way to capture the remote control input and send it to MBT even if not in focus.

DisplayFusion Pro will also allow you to setup an application to start on a particular monitor. That is what I use on my Windows 7 machine.

Remotes usually just work by sending key presses. Even if implemented, you will have adverse affects like the space bar pausing and unpacking every time it is pressed. That was actually just fixed.

I realize there are these options, and if it is decided not to integrate this option into MBT, I will go that route.  It's just that every other media center app has this built in, and I feel it would be important for usability for a lot of users.

I have all my icons on my monitor and use my tv as an extension of my monitor so I can drag stuff across to it.

I found if I keep the MBT icon on my TV screen it opens up on that screen each time.
