bennymac 47 Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Hi, With the availability of multiple cloud sync clients would it be possible to restrict users to only see and play Cloud sync'ed content? This would completely remove the reliance on the slow upload speeds of our internet connections (for those that have them *cough* Australia *cough*) as a result letting more users access to our content (which we've specifically sync'ed using the cloud plugin'). For example, I'm a big fan or Roku's and i'll give one to a family member to use but there is no way to prevent them hammering my internet connection. I'm not sure about others but I've had high hopes that on a per user basis I could display only the content I've sync'ed after hours to my Onedrive account using my work's internet, which is also connected to my Onedrive account just for syncing purposes Cheers.
Luke 42080 Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Yes, eventually. In the meantime you can sort of achieve the same thing by taking away transcoding permission from a user, as well as limiting your server's outgoing bitrate. at that point they'll just get a friendly error message saying there's no way to play the content requested.
bennymac 47 Posted June 2, 2015 Author Posted June 2, 2015 Sweet thanks. I'll get it going like you've said in the meantime.
