luke9511 1 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 is there a way to stop emby from getting metadata from tvdb? i have the full first season of star wars rebels and the way they have the episodes listed is wrong and so they are not showing up correctly
Luke 42080 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 have you explored the metadata settings in the server dashboard?
luke9511 1 Posted June 1, 2015 Author Posted June 1, 2015 have you explored the metadata settings in the server dashboard? yes there is nothing there for tvdb to disable or block it
FrostByte 5392 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Have you tried unchecking the box in the pic? 1
FrostByte 5392 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Change media type to "Episodes", should come up then
luke9511 1 Posted June 1, 2015 Author Posted June 1, 2015 (edited) ok i did that but its still pulling data from them even after a server restart Edited June 1, 2015 by luke9511
FrostByte 5392 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 It's pulling new data from tvdb, or are you looking at old data it already pulled down. Changing that won't delete anything it already pulled down from before. If it is then I don't know
FrostByte 5392 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Also, who are you going to get your metadata from if not tvdb? I don't see another option for episodes. I would just lock the metadata for Rebels so tvdb doesn't update it if that's the only episode you're having issues with.

FrostByte 5392 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 (edited) Check the settings under the other media types also (Series, Seasons, etc) for anything tvdb related. Maybe it's one of those. For episodes I'm only seeing the one option. Edited June 1, 2015 by FrostByte

Deathsquirrel 745 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 ok did all that but still pulls an id, ohwell i will just do it manually its the only way i can If all it's pulling is a TVDB ID that doesn't necessarily mean it's pulling data from TVDB. Movies get the IMDB ID populated from TMDB data for example.
Happy2Play 9782 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 But OPs issue is the episode are in a different order on TVDB then IMDB and TMDB.
FrostByte 5392 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Modify that one season and lock it in the manager so Emby doesn't update
luke9511 1 Posted November 19, 2015 Author Posted November 19, 2015 hey all i know this thread is a little old but is there anyway to download pictures for episodes/seasons and letting me set the episode info?
AdrianW 1058 Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 hey all i know this thread is a little old but is there anyway to download pictures for episodes/seasons and letting me set the episode info? Go to the metadata manager (from the Hamburger menu), then navigate to the season or episode you're interested in. With that item selected you can then edit details in the right hand panel, and edit images by clicking the "Edit Images" button - use magnifier button to download images.
