geaves 13 Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Have completed a clean install from the the new instructions, added media, this is Ok scans the symlink folder and all works....but 5 movies displayed in the collections before I started even thinking about that option. Decided to remove all 5 from the initial Nas folder, deleted the symlink for each film, then rescanned again, nothing in collections......good start. Added 1 of the films back to the Nas location, symlink updated, then rescanned the library, only to find the move was back under collections. The only anomaly I can see from MD Manager is 2 references to the movie the second being a branch from the first with the folder locations as follows: 1 /media/movies/<folder name of film> 2 /media/movies/<folder name of film/<folder name of film> I use Media Center Master to scan each movie to retrieve images and metadata for each movie. Any pointers on what I need to edit? Thx in advance
geaves 13 Posted May 31, 2015 Author Posted May 31, 2015 Hopefully the attached image will explain..... So the first reference (Path:), The Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) points to /media/movies/The Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) The second (like a branch) points to /media/movies/The Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)/The Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring (2001).mp4 The first one doesn't point to the film, this happens to about 5 of the movies for some reason. All the other movies have the Path as /media/movies/Master and Commander, The Far Side of the World (2003)/Master and Commander, The Far Side of the World (2003).mp4 I hope this makes some sense.
geaves 13 Posted May 31, 2015 Author Posted May 31, 2015 No none......................... but your prompt has made me check the folders, the offending movies have a collections.xml within their folder. Strange because this was a clean dataset other than an MCM scrape.
hurricanehrndz 149 Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 I would check the metadata file, it probably has some collections info in it.
Luke 42077 Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 No none......................... but your prompt has made me check the folders, the offending movies have a collections.xml within their folder. Strange because this was a clean dataset other than an MCM scrape. then that is expected behavior because that turns it into a boxset
