ipguy 1 Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) Hi I have a few questions. 1. Can this be used for live TV streaming ? 2. Does it get an EPG ? 3. Can it do PVR functionality ? 4. Can it play recorded TV ? 5. Can it do scheduled recording ? 6. Can it play music ? Thanks in advance Edited May 28, 2015 by ipguy
ebr 16169 Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Yes to everything except 6. There is no music support yet.
ipguy 1 Posted May 28, 2015 Author Posted May 28, 2015 Interesting, I just set it all up My only complaint is how slow it is to switch to the live TV stream, otherwise great work devs 1
celcius 1 Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Hi guys, any timeline or plans to add music support, just a shuffle all or shuffle playlists would rock.
above1 45 Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 @@ebr, I am planning on getting and NVidia shield. It now has the ability to decode MPEG2. Comcast here transmits their channels using MPEG2 and the HDHR3-CC (HDHR Prime) I have outputs the channels in it's native format of MPEG2. Will the Android TV app stream the feed directly to the device and not have EMBY transcode? You insight would be most appreciative. above1
ebr 16169 Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Using what Live TV plug-in? Possibly with Emby TV. I'm not sure about the others.

ebr 16169 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Well, for right now we have not been able to make direct streaming from the HDHR work so it will still transcode. Hopefully, that will change in the future.
above1 45 Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Awesome.. thanks for all the info and for the time and work you all put into this.
