Hello,

 

I've only had Emby for a little over 24 hours and I had connected my Win7 desktop to my Roku. When I came home from work this afternoon, I discovered that my server was offline but could not start either the app or the service. I kept recieiving the error message below whenever I tried to open it or uninstall it. The service just failed to start. I rebooted a few times to no avail and then scoured the forums with no success. Finally, I was able to uninstall it with a third party app, Revo Uninstaller, but I continue to recieve the error message when I attempt to install it, the beta version, or the Theater version. Has anyone seen this issue before?

Is there an error in your Windows Event Log?

Yeah, I'm getting .NET Runtime with an Event ID 1026 followed shortly thereafter by an Application Error with an Event ID of 1000 and a Task Category of (100). Both appear during every attempt to reinstall.

Please post the error(s) from the event log but you might also try re-installing .net.
