I am wrapping up my DVD rip spree after installing Emby about two weeks ago. Movies were easy and Music just required a little bit of Picarding before falling into place. I am about half way through my TV series, and have a few questions. Some of these are probably just going to be personal preference, but I'd love to get any feedback on how you have your metadata set up and how it is working for you. I primarily use the web client to select stuff and then DNLA Play-to over to my XB1 if it makes any difference.

1. Someone mentioned in a thread there was a way to have single season TV shows display under the main page instead of in that single Season folder. My search-fu is apparently weak. How is that done? I'm trying to keep a standard layout for my files and folder options when I can, so will it break that? Other than changing "Sort name" for all my shows, is there a flag/setting where I can have "Specials" as the last entry in the Seasons list instead of the first?

2. Does creating TV collections actually do anything other than display the shows in one place? Specifically, I may get the latest seasons of Arrow and Flash when they come out on DVD, and ideally I would like to watch the episodes from both in order so the cross-overs make sense. Is that possible with Emby beyond manually creating a playlist? What about Seasons? I do have New Who and Torchwood and watching those Seasons together (beyond jumping back and forth after each season) in the collection would be nice.

3. I have a case where the "before season" and "before episode" isn't getting the special displayed in the right place. It works fine when I have the season broken up in their own folder, but my Classic Doctor Who isn't set up that way. Since I only have the various "theme" sets, organizing them by seasons leave huge gaps and sparsely populated Season folders - so each Doctor has his own folder. Regular Season and Episode work fine, and the "before season"/"after season" also works - but "before season" and "before episode" to insert the special mid-season doesn't. Is there a way to get those specials in the correct order without going back to Season folders?
