g_phill 2 Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 The IP address when I opened the Server Dashboard was correct. I also uninstalled Emby Theater and selected the options to remove all configuration, cache files etc. Re-installing did not resolve the issue. I did not verify whether the files were actually after the uninstall. I assume they didn't remove as still had the old IP address in the config file, and had log files with timestamps prior to the uninstall/reinstall. I will change the IP address tonight and see if I can the same issue again. 1
g_phill 2 Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Was able to reproduce the issue, changed IP address, rebooted. Server had correct new IP address and Emby Theater still had old IP in config file. Changed IP back to original and Emby Theater worked after restarting Emby Server. 1
wolf359 6 Posted June 9, 2015 Author Posted June 9, 2015 Looks like that will be the work around next time it happens thanks mate
claw 5 Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 I just had a similar issue. Emby Server running on HTPC1, Emby Theater on HTPC2. Both Windows 8.1 I had to replace a Lan switch and when I restarted everything HTPC1 got a new local IP address. Emby Theater on HTPC2 was unable to connect. I couldn't find anyway to get Emby Theater to bring up a configuration screen where I could modify the Emby Server address. Ended up uninstalling Emby Theater and reinstalling. After reinstall Emby Theater found the server without any problem.
