FingerlessGlovs 8 Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Hi Guys, I want to know if its worth upgrading my Pi to the lasest one. Does it open SMB streams faster? Currently takes between 2 and 10 seconds for a smb stream to start playing. On my laptop its Instant. So basicly I would guess the new pi would be alot better but It could be a openelec limitation. Hope you guys can help me. Jonny

But I got my LAptop running emby and kodi and its fast. I hardy get any loading times. I was wonder if its worth getting the new Pi as they say its 6 times faster.

FingerlessGlovs 8 Posted May 19, 2015 Author Posted May 19, 2015 (edited) Both accessing the Server via ethernet. Server has as 6 Core procossor, 3TB WD RED(Pretty Fast) and 1 Gbit nic. And lesss than 1ms to it so not a connection issue. Edited May 19, 2015 by MrJonny
