Metadata problems

I am running 5607.1 docker on unraid and doing server management from win7 client using chrome. I am having a lot of problems with metadata.

1. Yesterday I noticed a TV show was missing info when viewed in the webui. I opened the metadata manager and found approximately 300 tv series missing all metadata except path and date added, it did retain all the images. The data files are still in the folders just no info displayed in metadata manager. I tried a refresh at the TV folder level and it ran overnight and did nothing. I then ran a scan from the dashboard and this did nothing. If I click identify on one of the affected shows its fixed in a few seconds. Any way to recover the metadata without manually clicking identify 300 times.

2. I'm having problems choosing TV or movie backdrops, 75% of the time the arrows do nothing and I have to delete the backdrops until the one I want is listed first.

3. The collection ID is disappearing from movies randomly and I have to refresh the movie to add it back. I do use the boxset plugin if that makes a difference.

Any help or pointers would really be appreciated.

thanks

for #2, if the arrows are doing nothing then most likely the server is getting access denied errors from your file system when trying to rename the files. if you search through the server log you'll most likely find that. If that is the case then you'll need to make sure the server process is authorized to make those changes.

As for the others, the server doesn't just drop metadata on it's own, although if i had to guess what happened, it probably reacted to some kind of changes in the file system. Unfortunately since we don't know when it happened, it's difficult to surmise the reason. Best thing to do is be on the lookout for it to happen again, then capture some information and we can go from there.
