hilfer 0 Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Hi all: Subtitles play fine when I use my android device however when I use emby for Kodi subtitles are not playing. What am I doing wrong ??
xnappo 1611 Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Are you playing directly or transcoding? If directly, you need to set up the subs while playing back. Hit the menu key and go to the audio settings and turn them on. There is also an option in there to make subtitles on the default.
Angelblue05 4132 Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 (edited) Yes subtitles work for direct play and direct stream - obviously it doesn't work for transcoding since the file is being modified on the go by Emby server. I'll be looking into adding an option to pick audio track and subtitles if you have no choice but to transcode. If you have the option to play from http, just leave the video quality by default or the highest you can go to allow direct stream.
